To the Cheater Queen

We have all heard of the queen maddah. But did you know that she is the Queen maddah Cheatah?! Is the kind Dr giving you medical help? We on the other hand are tuffing it up, we haven't eaten in days, are losing muscle, are skin is sagging, and are bones are poking out. We decided to noursih oursleves before we died so we had a final meal of home cooked chinese foo, with balls all (Remember the hot pot)? This is the life we lead. In order to not pass out and die, we had to stuff our faces with chocolate cake, pumpkin cake, and top it off with some ice cream. This is what we are doing. While you are sitting in the plush DR office, we are counting calories and watching Burger king comercials hoping to taste a little something through the T.V. Wait, we did do some sit ups today, unfortuately the gas spewed forth out of our bums and only created trouble. We had to go into hiding because of all the guests here. Tomorrow restarts our fast. Our meals wil consist of the following:
Breakfast- A banana.
Lunch- A banana
Dinner- A banana dipped in nonfat plain yogurt
YUMMY!

Queen Maddah, Although you are cheating, you will not prevail. Our youthful ways will prevail and our metabolism will have the upper hand. Keep seeing that doctor. Spend all that money, but remember to save a little for us and our winnings. MUAhahaha!

My first weight loss comploment!

So, the other day I got my first compliment on my weight loss. One of my teammates noticed that while I was in goal they noticed how much weight I had lost and I look good. I am excited about that and it is going to push me to keep working hard! That's right. This trip is a little rough with all the eating out, but I am doing pretty good! That's it for me this week. Peace out and keep up!

Standing still at 3 lbs. down

All I have to say is I'm not going backwards. Better standing still then moving behind. Speaking of behinds, everyone's should be getting smaller. Susan you are doing so good!! With the little bumpkins coming next week you should be losing, losing, losing. Just stay away from the uncrustable sandwiches and mac n' cheese and you should be all good. Kelley, don't give up yet. You only have one more month of team work outs to keep the going, going. Susie Mink. I think I heard your mother is with you again. I know you help her feel well, but don't forget to take care of yourself! Good luck to all as the week goes forward!!

IM ON THE RUN THIS WEEK

Ok this was a fast and full week i lost a big 1oz and only because of the big deposit i made in the gas station at the rim maybe it should be called something else now. Kelley and sussie what a fob job you guys did We havent heard from April yet what is the matter with you aprilie are you scared of the big bad scall . by the way how is Joshua and is side or tummey. hope he is better today but you must know a nite in the hospital isnt going to get you off the hook. i know the second week is the hard one it proved to be for the bigest loosers and it will for you guys. i am just starting to hit my full potentul. I will not fail this week .but must admit the rest of you rocked now you must watch for the sleeping giant. i am woman hear me roar from what end im not telling ..

YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT!

So, here's the deal. I walked into susies house jumped on the scale to find myself at a dainty 225.4 lbs. That means I am down a little over 10 lbs. How did that happen you might ask? I don't know. It just did. I have been running at nights on top of my soccer work outs, and have not been eating late. I have also cut out a lot of sugar and most importantly excuses. I don't let myself say,"oh , just worked out really hard, I deserve an ice cream cone." I stop myself and say no! YAY! I have more will power than I thought. I will have to keep working hard this week. Good luck to all.
So after ahard 3 days of youth conference I am exhausted yet spiritually very awake. I stepped on the scale to find I have lost 6 pounds. I did have a little slip up at conference I couldn't sleep one night. I took a nice warm shower and hit the kitchen for some milk and cookies. It was quite yummy. I had a very hard 2 mile walk, and played games with the kids. All in all I would say I am very satified with my success. As you know I have a very hard time droppin g weight so this will probably be the biggest number for a week that I will have. Constipation seems to be happening. I guess I'll increase the prunes. We had a nice meal tonight of halibet and salmon, roasted vegetables from the garden a green salad , some home grown fruit. Megan made a peach cobbler and some vanilla bean ice cream. We had crystal light for our drink.

Start Weeping!!

So as of this morning I am down 3 lbs. I wonder what will happen on Sunday when we weigh in!?!?!

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Susie's already getting cutsie!

So the weight on Sunday was 99.5 lbs. After a delicious homecooked meal, my stomach and bowels were quite satisfied. I've had no sugar; still have a diet soda a day. My dinner consisted of two pieces of corn-on-the-cob from the garden, a tomato from the garden, and some rice. I've baked over 200 sugar cookies with cream cheese frosting and haven't had so much as a little nibble. I've bought blow-pops and candies for my B.O.O.T. Attack at Youth Conference and haven't had one candy. Megan and Oscar had a lovely looking dessert tonight with ice cream, rice crispies, topped with chocolate and caramel sauce---I didn't have so much as a nibble. I haven't been able to exercise because of the demands of Youth Conference, but a lot of lifting has been happening. I'll be out of commission for the next three days because of conference and my diet is at the mercy of the camp chef. I will try to at least use small portions. I don't know if I'll win this competition, but I'm not going to cheat. So girls.... watch out!!

heaven only knows

there is so much to say to such a massive few. I am sure sussie is looking for heavenly help for it is hell when you play with the big girls speaking of big girls I read your silley little coments on my near death experance in the doggie door some day it will be you scooping up the butt end of that joke so who will be laughing last. kelley kelley kelley you are such a newbe to life in the game of biggest looser. you fill fine now but in three days you will be crying and no ware to go except sussies gardin face down in agoney for your penutbutter cups .I will Make sure your funds are short for any such delights. AS FOR ME I AM DOING WELL I WILL START THIS COMP AT . A SLIM 225 THIS TIME I WILL NOT HAVE THE SUPPORT OF THE DD THEY WERE TO FULL OF THEMSELVES TO MAKE ROOM FOR ME. I AM ON MY OWN. GOOD LUCK TO ALL EAT AND BE HAPPY

Where is the Susie Q and Queen???

Kelley stepped up to the plate what about the seasoned veterans?

Fine you want it here it is !

Ok miss I'm on a high horse April! Here is my weight! 236.5. Yeah, you heard me. SO what now! I will be the biggest loser and you will all have to cough up the money and more. Day one is done and let me tell you how good i did resisting reeses peanut butter cups and everything. This ain't no joke to me. Its business!

SOOO SAAAD!

I haven't seen a single person list their weight on this little blog so I'll be the first one with the juevos. If you don't got the guts to put up your weight then you don't have the guts to survive this competition. My weight is 244.4 lbs. There it is. By the time this is over I will be down to 214 lbs. and you will all once again cower beneath my will power (and owe me $50.) I know some of you have recently lost weight by a massive exodus from their bowels, but don't kid yourself into thinking that that will help. This is not a ice cream eating contest! Others of you think that because you play sports that you somehow have an edge. You may run around a few hours a day but I chase two kids all day, everyday. This is solely a test of self control and will. General Patten would run in fear of me and so should you!!!!

Ok, I just wanted to give you all fair warning of how you are going to lose hard core! I figure if I let you know now, you will not be so shocked and upset when you cough up the money!!! I am not on a mission anymore so there are no excuses. I have more than money on the line. I have to lose some weight and look hot so I can find me a man! Now that's motivation! Good luck finding the money in time for Christmas. I will expect my money in cash, checks are just to difficult to handle these days, I also don't accept credit. Have fun and just try to keep up! IT'S ON!!!
Thompsons thank you for the invitation to join the biggest loser. I feel certain you will regret this invitation because you are all goin down. We had the last supper tonight in celebration of our obesity. Tomorrow the 'the new' program begins. I am hoping for inspiration from above in figuring out the right plan for me. Unfortunately I only have a few hours of eating freedom left.

Healthier Choices

So, I'm not doing AS well as others are, meaning I haven't lost as much weight, but one thing I'm happier about is my growing habit for making healthier choices.
1. Last night I wanted pasta (with a browned butter garlic sauce of course) but instead made myself a delicious BBG chicken salad!
2. I'm learning to LOVE riceless sushi rolls
3. This morning instead of reaching for the bagel at the catering cart, I opted for a banana and carrot juice.
4. My latest favorite dessert is Fat Free Sugar Free Vanilla Pudding with strawberries on top! Check it out!

So what's the point? I feel good. I feel in control metally, and I'm learning that happiness is more than just a cheeseburger!

Being at one and other thoughts

Here's hoping Dave becomes "one" with his clay and other important things. Catt is in Lake Arrowhead for Conference weekend in order to help Dave not be tempted to become "one" with anything other than his clay. The price these artists pay for their art.

I have declared a moratorium for the weight loss during this weekend. We are feasting on the Word and other temporal delights. Monday will find me on the straight and narrow again.

Next week I will be in SLC to help April get her website finished. My part is to care for the "darlings" (which is hard duty) yet rewarding all the more. If you need me call my cell phone and expect to have some background noise. Joyous pandemonium is mine for the next several days.

Exercise won't be a problem.

Thursday, April 3, 2008

It's Official

I've fallen off the bandwagon!!!! One day won't kill me but that dang cheeseburger was calling my name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So on to tomorrow and great ambition and self-control. I'm not giving up that easy. April

Granola Dave

So Dave is embarking on a raw fast for 14 days so he can become one with his clay and the earth. You think I'm kidding? Just ask him!

I'm hesitant to believe him when he says he'll go 14 days, but the granola in him just might pull it off. Plus he has all the encouragement in the world from his artist cronies!

So wish him luck, and pray for me to have patience...last time he did this he whined and moaned non-stop!!

2 weeks down!

Hello to all! (especially Susan) The scales just keep tellin' the truth! I weighed in this morning and I'm down 7.7 lbs. It feels great! I've lost 2.5 inches around my waste. I'm going to share a salad dressing recipe for those who like it lite! This is very fresh and yummy!
Best of Luck! April

French Herb Dressing

½ Cup Lemon or Lime Juice FRESH (1 lemon 1 lime)
½ Cup Olive Oil (Extra virgin-lite) I use more lemon less olive oil!
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
2 tsp. Herbs of Provence (you can find at upscale grocer)
2 tsp of fresh dill weed (I use dried and just a few shakes)

Trash Talkin' Mom

So, everyone beware...mom has learned how to blog!! And she can be quite vicious! Well mom...I would retaliate against your new found confidence, but we'll let the scales speak for themselves.

Speaking of scales, I'm down another 1.2 lbs. Are you intimidated yet?

The Queen Mother arrives

From the north country comes the ermine wrapped jewel laden Queen Mother trailing her coterie of four legged minions who announce her grandure with majesty and a little gas.

The queen mother begins her quest on Monday in order to facilitate a weekend of feasting, gorging, and gluttony prior to the six month fast. You may all bow now.

diggity diggity diggity

oh man son of a... 276.

Update for mom

Suzie and Debbie are crying foul!! They did not trick mom into anything, or even tempt her, but she willingly went the way of the dark side for that fried chicken!

but it's OK, they all walked two miles today and had delicious salads for lunch at The Cheesecake Factory, minus the cheesecake!

We'll forgive you this time, but any more infractions and we'll kick you off the course!!

Beginning weight for mom

Ok, Here is Mom's weight! 235 lbs.

Here's where it gets funny! Since Suzie is in town, the Peanut Gallery has been less than helpful in Moms pursuits, tempting her with Fried Chicken and candy! But mom is trying to be strong by excercising everday on the bike and eating well when she can...I guess we won't count those 2 pieces of fried chicken, AND THAT BAG OF CHEETOS!!!

Listen up Peanut Gallery, kick it into shape!! Mom has a long way to go, and from what I can tell, Darlene is the only one without her hand in the cookie jar!!

Day 3...still rollin'

I've been exercising every day....eating my nurtisystem food and actually enjoying it! The exercise video that I've been using I'm recommending that Susan use it too! It's not terribly strenuous but it burns calories and I walk 2 miles in my living room. The fun part is Marlie is working out with me and so it is becoming a family venture..well, I can't say as much for Josh. He still doesn't have a plan. I guess he's gonna owe me!

Monday, February 25, 2008

The Peanut Gallery

So Mom believes she's found her edge in the competition and we're calling them the Peanut Gallery. Debbie, Darlene, and Suzie have all signed on to help mom win by any means possible. They will be working hard with her, monitoring her progress and cheering her along! They each bring different assets to the mix that will whip mom into shape.
In California, mom has the support of the DOUBLE D'S (When you got double d's, you got the best support in town). Darlene is the Aerobo-bot! She kicks butt in class and is hoping to fire up mom in the exercise arena. Darlene has the motivation and the tools burn those calories, we just hope she can carry mom along with her! Next is Debbie. We're counting on her to pass along her dietary self control to mom. If anyone is going to keep moms eating on track, it will be Little Debbie. Now don't be fooled, Little Debbie likes her sweet treats too, but Debbie, if you're reading this, Mom is counting on you...we're counting on you...no pressure!!
Rounding out the Peanut gallery is Suzie, all the way in Utah. Now, even though she's far away, don't think her voice won't be heard! Suzie is hardcore and she'll tell it like it is! She's incredibly influential and seriously motivated. She knows just the right balance of cracking the whip, but also making you feel good about yourself!
So mom, best of luck to you! Your hens, Wait! I mean, FRIENDS will be there to help and support you. Enjoy your success and we're all rooting for ya!

p.s. A little advice for the Peanut Gallery. We all know mom to be "The Great Tempter" but you keep her under control. Her influence to indulge can be great, but do not get sucked in! Hold your ground and show her the light!

Here it goes!

So, I don't have any pictures to add, or maybe I'm not as brave as April, but here is the beginning weight...208.4 lbs. Seeing as this is the first time in my life I have been over 200, I'm pretty motivated. So, outta my way....new jeans, here I come!

Day 1

So here goes everything. You Thompson's don't know who you are dealing with. This Frazier-Thompson is going to rock your world. Talk about self control bring it on! So it's all out in the open right? Well I just weighed in on day 1. 264.5 pounds. I can hardly believe it. I knew my butt had spread but not that far. Looking forward to each week of creaming the competition! Much love and competition! April

The Challenge Begins

Call it greed, or call it determination, either way, the Thompson family is ready to rumble. Starting on February 25, it will be every Thompson for himself (or Barnes for that matter) in a family wide competition set to see who can lose the largest body weight percentage in a six month period. And what’s at stake? $200 in cash to be given to the winner.
The first opponent to enter the competition is Bill Thompson, or as we know him, dad! He is probably the most formidable opponent as he has recently lost 150 lbs and competed in two STP bike races. He has a strict diet and works out more than all of us combined. But will he buckle under the pressure, or will his advanced age get the best of him?
Next in line is mom. No one would ever accuse her of depriving herself of the tasty and decedent things in life. But she swears she’s committed and dad will be there to help. And as long as Buffy is playing and the bike is set up, she will be working hard. What could be her downfall? Luckily, we are all aware of mom’s weaknesses for Coke and dining out.
Now we come to the Utah gang. Josh and April are hoping to double team the family with eating right and hitting it hard at the gym. But while they’ll be working hard together, individually they both have assets they hope to use against everyone else. April is unique in the Thompson clan…she actually LIKES her vegetables. She prefers healthy eating and loves to be active outdoors. Josh has the benefit of a male metabolism. For him, eating a little bit better and exercising a little bit more shows quick results. But keep in mind, Josh also works at one of the best restaurants in town. The creamy side dishes and delightful desserts are hard to pass up! Not to mention the dietary requirements of the two little girls, which often involve McDonald’s hamburgers and cheesy goldfish. How will they bode? We’ll see in August.
Next to enter the ring is Micky. Even though she continues her busy lifestyle with hair styling and restaurant service, she is well known for having amazing self control when she sets her mind to it. She loves organic products and enjoys a gourmet pallet. But her busy lifestyle could hinder her efforts in eating well and exercising. Can she rally her self control to bag herself the prize?
Now we go back to the California corner of the ring to the Barnes. They’re hoping the stars will align to take the “Thompson” victory, and will work hard to make it so. Dave benefits from the same male metabolism that Josh enjoys. He has previously had a passion for early morning running and hopes to find the motivation with this challenge to take up that hobby again. Maybe the Barnes blood can pull out the victory, but it’s the same blood that made him such a talented cook, which could obstruct his progress. It could also hinder the progress of his wife Cattlyn. Now she is currently profiting from a weight lose program which has been in progress for six weeks. While her weight lose has been slow and steady so far, she is seeing dollar signs in her eyes that promises of a new wardrobe. Heaven help those that stand in between a woman and her new SMALLER designer jeans!
Last but not least is The Missionary, Kelley. Now don’t be fooled by her current situation, she has the determination to rock us all, even from 3,000 miles away!! One thing she has on all of us is her lifetime of pure athleticism. When it comes to sports and hard work, you’d be foolish to count Kelley out as a top tier competitor. But the passion she has for sports and athletics is the same as that for fattening junk food. She will also be fighting the temptations of her companions, and the obligation to the ward members that feed her. But there is a great possibility that she could walk off that plane at the airport and end the competition flat!
Either way, within six months, there will be a lot less of the Thompson’s strolling around town. Whoever the “biggest loser” is, plenty of dollar bills will be lining their pockets, not to mention this will be at the expense of everyone else. So, here we go… 6 rounds in the rings with only one winner. Will it be a quick Knockout hit, or a long violent bloodbath? Stay tuned!
